The Dark Elves are ruthless slavers who strike from a frozen land in the far west. This is a Legacy army: Games Workshop keeps its rules as a free download, but it isn't part of official matched play. Order of Battle builds the PDF list and a community Renegades list made by fans, not Games Workshop. They play fast and hit hard. Disciplined spear and crossbow regiments, murderous elite infantry like Black Guard, Executioners and Witch Elves, cold one knights and chariots, and sorceresses with dangerous dark magic. Hatred makes them vicious in the first round of combat. Like other elves, they are fragile for their cost, so a Dark Elf list has to strike first and avoid long grinding fights. Many players build around one hard-hitting elite block and use fast cavalry or chariots to set up its charge.
